The Masked Singer (American season 4)

The Masked Singer season 4 aired on September 23, 2020. The airdate of Fall 2020 was in serious jeopardy, due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Fox announced it as part of an investors call on May 6, 2020, two weeks prior to the finale of season 3.

Several clues for The Masked Singer season 4 were released in late July. All of the fourth season was filmed with only a virtual audience, and having the judges stay six feet apart as part of social distancing. This was done during the final episodes of The Mask Thai Temple. There was no in-person audience due to COVID-19 safety protocols in effect.

The host of the fourth season of the American version was Nick Cannon, with the judges of the fourth season being Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke.

Bob Saget, as the Squiggly Monster from season four, became the first contestant to die following their participation on The Masked Singer on 9 January 2022.
