The Switzerland women's national football team (known as La Nati) represent Flag of Switzerland (Pantone) Switzerland in women's association football. Switzerland has never qualified for a European Championship, or the Olympics.

The highest ranking for Switzerland was eighteenth in the FIFA Women's World Rankings in the rankings issued September 2014.

They came so close to World Cup qualifying in 2011; winning their group ahead of Russia (who qualified in 1999 and 2003), but lost to Italy for the final UEFA spot.

Switzerland was bidding to host the UEFA Women's Euro 2017, but lost to the Netherlands.

2015 World Cup

The Switzerland women qualified on 15 June 2014 for the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup after winning UEFA Group 3 during the days of the 2014 FIFA World Cup. They finished first, ahead of favorites Iceland and Denmark; both of the women's teams drew 1-1 on the day the men's team play Ecuador. It would be the first time Switzerland was featured in a women's tournament, therefore the men's team and the women's team will participate in a World Cup. Switzerland was drawn in an easy Group C, along with the eventual finalists Japan, playoff winners Ecuador and Cameroon. They are popularly expected to enter the knockouts, due to the easy group they got drawn in.

Losing the first game to defending champions Japan 1-0, they managed to beat Ecuador 10-1, the same score as Hungary v El Salvador during the 1982 FIFA World Cup. Switzerland scored two hat-tricks while playing Ecuador, the first one came to Fabienne Humm and the second to Ramona Bachmann.

Despite losing to Cameroon 2-1, they advanced to the knockout stage as one of the four best third placed teams, and now they are set to face hosts Canada. The Swiss lost 1-0 to the hosts.
