Ninetales is a fox-like Fire typed Pokemon introduced in Generation I. It is weak against all three of Grass' strong types. Ninetales was introduced in Generation I.

Ninetales has an Alolan form that was introduced in Sun and Moon; and is Ice/Fairy type, which meant that Belgian representative Metagross or any Steel type move would kill her more. Alolan Ninetales can only be found in Sun or Ultra Sun and would require Pokemon Bank in Moon or Ultra Moon. The Alola Form Ninetales is also scheduled to play for Sweden.

It evolves from Vulpix when exposed to a Fire Stone. In Alola, Ninetales evolves when exposed to an Ice Stone
